...And it didn't feel good!!!! The day after Ike raped Shady Acres, Chincho went out to assess the damage. As you can see, winds were so strong after the disaster that Chincho was almost blown away.
If there's one thing we've learned it's that the residents of Shady Acres will always be there to help one another out. As the sign reads: "Plywood 4 Sale $20 per sheet." Who needs Home Depot, when you have your neighbors!!!
Unfortunately, many of our neighbors suffered a similar fate as those on Galveston Island. Homes were destroyed by the powerful winds and/or crushed by very tall trees. If a tree falls on your house, but no one is around to hear it, does it make a noise???
The flooding that took place had Chincho worried. He didn't want the local Mexicans to get any ideas, so he made sure to have proper border patrol on hand. Got green card?
Even our thoroughfare to San Antonio was flooded...creating our own River Walk. How ironic. Nice touch Ike!
After being without power for 11 days, Chincho's final assessment of this whole ordeal: This shit sucks!
